Jolly Hill Dam

Location: 17°43’53.97″N 64°51’39.11″W

This old dam, located on the south of Mahogany Road at the intersection of Jolly-Oxford Drive, was important, not to Estate Jolly Hill, but to Frederiksted itself. In the low quality image titled “sluice gate looking west”, one can make out the aqueduct feeding water down the side of Mahogany Road past Little LaGrange. Sections of this aqueduct still exist. The reservoir existed alongside Mahogany Road, heading back into the Rainforest.
