The windmill and bell tower of Anna’s Hope are on grounds that house government administration buildings and are readily accessible. There is a roadside sign, but lack of maintenance of the grounds result in the sign most often being overgrown. The entrance to the grounds is directly across from the Anna’s Hope apartments on Queen Mary highway. Going west out of Christiansted, the entrance is one the left going down the hill from Beeston Medical Center towards Gateway gas station.
As previously mentioned, maintenance is poor and the mill and other buildings on the property are usually more overgrown than shown here.
The bell tower was used to call fieldworkers in from the field. The bell would have hung from the crossbeam within the arch.
